Perceived level of meritocracy in the public sector

Analysis of survey results from a representative sample of citizens. Respondents are asked to what extent they agree with the following statement on a scale from 1 to 10: “In the public sector most people can succeed if they are willing to work hard”. The answers provided by the general population are presented, but responses from those currently working in the public service are also analysed.
